We are bringing back classic handcrafted doughnuts to Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. We make them the old-fashioned way — traditional, honest and delicious, just the way a doughnut should be.
ABOUT OUR DOUGHNUTS
1. THE DOUGH
A great doughnut starts with great dough. Using only the finest Australian ingredients, we knead the fresh dough to soft fluffy perfection on the spot.
2. THE PROOFING
After rolling the dough by hand our doughnuts have some time to rest in the proofer. This makes sure our doughnuts rise and become nice and fluffy.
3. THE FRYING
Next our doughnuts go into the fryer until they are exactly the way we want them to be: soft and fluffy inside, crispy on the outside. We use rice bran oil — a lighter oil on higher heat to stop our doughnuts from becoming greasy
4. THE SUGARING AND FILLING
The fun part! We use a special cinnamon sugar blend that gives our doughnuts their distinct yummy smell and taste. Our filled doughnuts get a special treatment: Raspberry jam or Belgian dark chocolate.
